Green Key Global, jointly owned and operated by the American Hotel & Lodging Association and the Hotel Association of Canada, is pleased to announce that Dorothy Dowling, Managing Director at Horwath HTL and Principal of Introspect Strategic Advisory Services, has been appointed as a Strategic Advisor to the Green Key Global Board of Directors.
Dorothy Dowling is a seasoned management consultant, growth advisor, and board director with more than four decades of leadership experience across the global hospitality and travel ecosystem. As a commercial consultant, Dorothy works closely with executive teams and boards to design and activate growth strategies that support enterprise expansion and revenue performance. She serves as an advisor to multiple hotel brands, hotel management companies, and marketing technology organizations. Dorothy is a strategic advisor to HSMAI and serves on the board of trustees of a publicly traded real estate investment trust, where she chairs the Compensation Committee and serves on the Governance Committee.

Dorothy previously served as Chief Marketing Officer and SVP of Global Sales of Best Western Hotels & Resorts for nearly 18 years, leading global marketing and commercial strategy across loyalty, digital transformation, advertising, public relations, distribution, intermediary partnership, and global sales. Her leadership experience spans the private, public, and non-profit sectors, giving her a broad perspective on governance, scale, and stakeholder alignment.
Dorothy is a highly regarded industry speaker and panelist who has been recognized with numerous honors, including Lifetime Achievement awards from HSMAI, the Stephen W. Brener Award from the NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference, recognition from GBTA for advancing commercial leadership and inclusion, and honors from WITH for her support of women in hospitality.
