The Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association was formed in 1922 to:

  • address liquor licensing and prohibition,
  • lobby government particularly on taxation,
  • improve the image of hoteliers in their communities, and
  • reduce rivalry in the hotel industry and establish common policies on staffing including training, hours of work and security.

Today, AH&LA members own and operate properties and supply to the tourism & hospitality industry. Through the AHLA, our members benefit from programs & services that meet the unique needs of the hospitality industry and the ability to influence government on issues that affect their businesses.
