Here are some stats:

  • 172 participating countries and territories in 2015;
  • 1400+ of the world’s iconic landmarks were switched off in celebration of Earth Hour;
  • 47 cities are finalists in the Earth Hour City Challenge;
  • Over 378 million tweets were tracked on Twitter about Earth Hour.
